Renovation Work We Take On

Six core renovation categories. Each one handled start to finish by one crew - from opening the wall to the final coat of paint.

Water Damage Repair

Walls or ceilings opened after a leak or burst pipe. Wet insulation removed, framing inspected and repaired where needed, cavity closed with new drywall, taped, primed, painted.

Framing Repair

Studs, sill plates or joists compromised by moisture, rot or impact. Reinforced or replaced, then the assembly is rebuilt and finished properly.

Subfloor & Floor Repair

Soft spots, rot around a toilet flange, damaged plywood sections. Compromised pieces replaced, surface levelled and made ready for new flooring.

Drywall Replacement

Where patching no longer makes sense, drywall is removed and replaced, then taped to Level 4 or Level 5 smoothness and primed ready for paint.

Trim & Door Replacement

Old baseboard and casing pulled, new installed, caulked, nail holes filled, primed and painted. Covers a major part of whole-unit renovations.

Full Room Renovation

Demolition, framing, insulation, drywall, trim, doors and final paint in one sequence. One crew handles the full scope without handoff gaps between trades.

What We Do Not Do

We are specific about our scope. This protects both sides from a wrong-fit project.

  • Full kitchen renovations with new cabinet installation, plumbing rough-in and countertop fabrication. We do paint existing cabinets, and we can handle the drywall, finish and paint work inside a kitchen renovation led by another contractor.
  • Full bathroom rebuilds requiring plumbing rough-in, tile work or fixture installation. We can take the drywall, ceiling and paint portion inside a bathroom project led by a plumber or GC.
  • Structural additions or changes that require engineered drawings, permits for new footings or building envelope modifications.
  • Electrical and plumbing rough-in. We open the wall for licensed trades, coordinate the schedule, and close everything up after - but we do not run new electrical or plumbing ourselves.

If your project needs drywall, finish and paint alongside trades we do not cover, we can take on the finishing portion as a subcontractor. See the partner with us page if you are a GC or restoration company.

Why One Crew Matters on a Renovation

When the crew that opens the wall is also the crew that finishes it, nothing gets lost in the handoff. We see exactly what was repaired underneath, so we know how to tape over it, prime it and paint it without anything showing through.

With separate trades, the painter inherits a surface they did not build and may not fully understand. Seams ghost. Texture does not match. Paint pulls off a poorly primed patch. These problems are not visible at closeout - they show up three months later under raking light.

One crew from framing through paint also means one estimate, one schedule and one point of contact. No finger-pointing between a drywaller and a painter when something does not look right.

FAQ

Yes, on the finishing side. Once the water source is stopped and the area is dry, we remove the damaged insulation and drywall, inspect and repair the framing where needed, replace insulation, reinstall drywall, tape, mud, prime and paint. If structural issues are found or active moisture remains, we flag it and recommend the right trade before continuing.
Yes. We provide detailed written estimates with itemized scope and before/after photos in the format insurance adjusters expect. If you are filing a claim for water, fire or impact damage that requires drywall, finish and paint work, we document the damage, scope the repair and invoice in a way that supports your claim.
Most of our renovation work - drywall replacement, insulation, finishes, floor repair, non-structural framing - does not require a building permit. Structural framing changes, adding new living space, or changing the building envelope typically do. We will flag permit requirements during the estimate if they apply.
