Commercial pest exclusion: foam sealant applied around metal pipe penetration in concrete wall by OV Property Solutions Timmins

We Close the Openings That Let Pests In

Public health inspections, food safety audits and your own internal compliance programs require that walls, floors and penetrations in commercial food facilities have no openings that allow pest entry. When inspections flag entry points, you need them closed properly, by someone who treats it as construction work, not as a quick patch.

We do methodical, on-site sealing of every entry point we find. We pick the right material for each location: pest-resistant expanding foam, steel and copper mesh in the correct grade, concrete patching compounds, silicone and acrylic sealants. We document what was done and where, so you have a record for your next audit.

This is structural compliance work. It is what we do, and it is what your facility needs to keep your operation running clean.

Commercial Facilities We Work With

Each environment has its own constraints, compliance framework and risk areas. Here is what we focus on for each.

Commercial warehouse interior with concrete floor, steel shelving and overhead lighting in Timmins

Bakeries, Food Storage and Production

The highest-risk environments: flour dust, ingredient storage, walk-in coolers, loading bays. We seal around HVAC penetrations, pipe chases, expansion joints in concrete floors, foundation cracks, and the gaps under loading dock doors that are the most common rodent entry point.

Modern Canadian commercial cafe or retail food store interior with wood and white tones

Restaurants and Commercial Kitchens

Active kitchens with ongoing wear, frequent deliveries and constant deep cleaning. We focus on door sweeps, weatherstripping around back-of-house doors, sealing around grease trap penetrations, gaps behind equipment lines, and prep area wall and floor cracks.

Mid-range Canadian hotel corridor and lobby interior with neutral tones and warm lighting

Hotels

Guest experience and reputation depend on no pest sightings, ever. We seal around in-room HVAC sleeves, plumbing penetrations behind vanities and toilets, gaps in baseboards and door frames, and access panels in mechanical and laundry rooms.

Modern Canadian medical clinic or office reception area with white walls and natural light

Offices, Clinics and Retail Stores

Less critical from a food safety standpoint, but pest sightings in a clinic or retail space cost you trust and reviews immediately. We seal exterior wall penetrations, gaps around utility entries, suspended ceiling access points, and bottom-of-door gaps on storefronts.

How We Approach the Work

On-site assessment first. We walk the property with you, identify entry points visually and document what we find. You see what we found before you commit to scope. No selling work that is not needed, no missing work that should be done.

The right material for each location. Pest-resistant expanding foam for irregular gaps around pipe penetrations. Steel or copper mesh in the correct grade for openings where foam alone would not hold. Concrete patching compounds for floor and foundation cracks. Silicone and acrylic sealants for interior wall and trim work. We carry the materials, we know which one belongs where.

Methodical execution. One area at a time, completed before moving on. Surface prepped, sealed correctly, finished cleanly. No half-applied foam blocking your kitchen for two days.

Written documentation. A record of what was sealed, where, with what material, and the date. Goes straight into your Preventive Control Plan, HACCP file or audit folder.

What This Service Is, and What It Is Not

What it is: structural building envelope sealing. We close the openings that allow pests to enter your facility. This is construction work done with pest-resistant materials and a methodical approach to finding every entry point. It is the work that supports your Public Health and CFIA compliance, and it makes any chemical pest control program you already have far more effective.

What it is not: chemical pest control. We do not apply pesticides, set bait stations, place traps or run monitoring programs. That work requires a licensed Pesticide Applicator under the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, and it is done by a different category of professional. If you do not have a pest control operator and you need one, we can recommend operators in the Timmins area we have seen do good work.

FAQ

No. Applying pesticides requires a licensed Pesticide Applicator under the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. We handle the structural side: sealing entry points so pests cannot get in. For chemical pest control, you need a licensed pest control operator. Our work is often done alongside a pest control program, not instead of one.
Commercial bakeries, food storage warehouses, restaurants, commercial kitchens, hotels, retail food stores, food production facilities, and clinics. Any commercial property where building integrity matters for sanitation, food safety or guest experience.
Yes. We provide a written record of the work completed: what was sealed, where, with what material, and on what date. This documentation can go into your Preventive Control Plan, HACCP records or audit file. If you need photo documentation of specific entry points before and after sealing, we provide that too.
If you have a deadline from a Public Health inspector or auditor, tell us upfront. We can schedule an on-site assessment within 2 to 5 business days and complete most commercial sealing projects within one to two weeks of approval. Urgent situations can be prioritized.
Yes. Full commercial liability insurance and WSIB coverage. Certificates can be provided to your office, property management company or insurance company before work begins.
